Auditions for The Philadelphia Story

Auditions for The Philadelphia Story by Philip Barry will be held at the Bowie Playhouse in Bowie, MD (16500 White Marsh Park Dr, Bowie, MD 20715) on Monday, December 7th, and Tuesday, December 8th at 7 PM. Callbacks, as needed, will be on Wednesday December 9th.

Please bring a headshot, resume, and a list conflicts for November through the performance dates. Auditions will consist primarily of cold readings from the script. Monologues of 1-2 minutes are encouraged but not required. Questions can be sent to 2ndstarbowie@gmail.com.

Rehearsals will be primarily Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:00 pm and Saturdays at 11:00 am until tech week when they will be daily. Additional rehearsals may be called depending on cast availability. The show runs February 5 – February 20, Friday and Saturday evenings at 8:00 and Sunday matinees at 3:00. Performances will be at the Bowie Playhouse in Whitemarsh Park.

Synopsis: The high society is getting ready for a wedding! Tracy Lord of THE Lord’s is getting married again. Everyone who is anyone will be in attendance. Including her dashing ex-husband, an equally dashing writer, and the odds and ends that should be in attendance of any socialite’s wedding. What with a late night party and a scandalous dip in the pool, who knows who she’s going to walk down the aisle with!
