2020 Spring Camp with the Greenbelt Recreation Department, Apr 6-Apr 10

Location: Greenbelt Community Center Gymnasium

Warmer days are on their way, and Spring Break is right around the
corner! We’ll keep your kid’s break action packed with a combination of
events both at the Youth Center and off premises. All campers must be in
kindergarten through sixth grade and are responsible for providing their
own non-perishable lunch and drink.

Grades: K through 6.

Dates: April 6 – April 10, 2020. Time: 8:45am to 3:30pm.
Fees: Residents $204, Non-Residents $235. Before Care: $33; After Care: $38

2020 Spring Circus Camp with the Greenbelt Recreation Department, Apr 6-Apr 10

Location: Greenbelt Community Center Gymnasium

http://www.greenbeltmd.gov/recreation 5 SPRING CIRCUS CAMPJoin acclaimed circus teacher and performer Mike Funt and skills coach Charlie Fahey for a fun-filled spring break and learn how to juggle, walk on stilts, balance on a rolling globe or balance board, and more! Campers are safely taught at their individual skill level, and will demonstrate their new skills in a performance on Friday, April 10 at 2:30pm. Campers must bring a nonperishable lunch each day.

2020 Spring Break Theatre Camp at the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center, Apr 6-Apr 10

Location: Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center.

An acting camp for young performers who want to sharpen their theater skills and increase their confidence while having fun. Activities will include theatre games, comedy, improv, pantomime, scene study, characterization and musical theater techniques. A field trip to a local theatre performance is included.

Dates: PGCPS Spring Break. Time: 9:00am to 4:30pm.
Fees: Residents $170, Non-Residents $221.

2020 Spring Teen Theater Skills Workshop at the Huntington Community Center, Mar 18-May 6

M-NCPPC Theater Skills Workshop for ages 9-16

Wednesdays, 6pm to 8pm

Location: Huntington Community Center, 13022 8th Street, Bowie MD.

Learn how to stage a play, including acting, stage design, stage presence, and costume design. Present it to family and friends at the end of the camp session.

Fee: $50 residents; $65 non-residents

M-NCPPC Adult Drama Class for ages 16+

Movement, arts, games and other fun adventures have been designed to provide participants with a memorable experience each day. Our Spirit Week themes will stimulate creative thinking and engaging physical activity in a vibrant learning environment.

Monday: Backwards clothing
Tuesday: Twin Day
Wednesday: Team Jersey Day
Thursday: Glasses and Bling (necklaces, tiaras, bracelets)
Friday: Historic Show and Tell Day

2018 CreativeWorks Tech Program at Harmony Hall, Open House: Mar 3, 2018

CreativeWorks at Harmony Hall
The CreativeWorks workforce-development program is coming to Harmony Hall this spring!

Location: Harmony Hall Regional Center in Fort Washington

This job training program for young adults age 18-24 was started at Joe’s Movement Emporium in Mt. Rainier nine years ago to expand opportunities for creative industry jobs. Participants earn income as they learn skills in Theater Tech (lighting, sound, special event management), Digital Media (photography, photoshop, music production), and creative skills in storytelling, stage combat, and more. Program support includes career readiness, college prep and job placement.

Eligible applicants must be residents of Prince George’s County who have not yet obtained full-time work or school. Are you 18 – 24, a resident of Prince George’s County and ready to get a job and start your career?

CreativeWorks is the program for you!
