About the Junior Academy for the Performing Arts

The Junior Academy of the Performing Arts (JAPA) introduces musical theater to students who have a talent and curiosity for the performing arts and strengthens the knowledge and skill level of students already interested in pursuing theatre as a profession.

Through the disciplines of singing and dance, the students will grow in their confidence, team-building, problem-solving, as well as artistic knowledge and skills. In an intimate setting, they will discover the very best of themselves and be encouraged to share their stories in their own unique way.
Instructors

Our instructors and guest artists are seasoned professionals in their field—respected actors, singers, and dancers of the performing arts. This program will foster a greater understanding of the necessity of the arts and creative expression in forming healthy, happy and productive adults.
