Life Interrupted is a 2023 drama stage play written, directed, and produced by Elder Chanté Thompson. During Mental Health Awareness Month, we will shed light on mental health challenges and overcoming those obstacles. Meet seven patients who learn how to heal spiritually while dealing with their mental health obstacles.

This play’s story is told from inside a mental health institution by mental health patients who describe their pain and struggle. One suffers from PTSD, another is bipolar, another has schizophrenia, another has an eating disorder, another has dissociative disorder, and another has depression. In a world where mental health challenges are on the rise, meet this phenomenal cast as they deliver an exceptional dramatic performance and help our community understand, work through, and recover from this nationwide crisis.

The play stars Kaneya Morgan, Marcus Davis, Lorrie Davis, Nick Gamble, Chanale Taylor, Nadia Palacios, Kevin (CJ) Harrison, Cornelius Wyatt, Edward Crews, Robin Willingham, Octavia Latrice, Howard Lee, Maurice Lee, Anissa Stewart, Freddie Simmons, Rachel Johnson, and Khloe’ Holbert.

Doors open one hour early for the fabulous Bethlehem marketplace, with live animals, biblical characters, activities, giveaways and more!

Description:
“Someway, Somehow” is a stage play about the birth of Jesus from a unique and unexpected point of view. Centering the story around the love between the parents of Jesus Christ, Mary and Joseph, “Someway, Somehow” will remind audiences that everyone has a story and plays a role in God’s plan. This dynamic musical will take you on a journey with a cleverly written score and script by Anthony Brown and Joshua Jenkins and some special guest artist who are sure to win your heart. This experience will leave you wanting more.

In Galilee, a virgin named Mary was engaged to a carpenter named Joseph. An angel visited Mary one night and said she would be impregnated by the Holy Spirit, give birth to a son and name him Jesus. Mary couldn’t believe it, asking the angel, “How can this be?” The angel told her “Nothing is impossible with God.” “Someway, Somehow” puts a modern-day twist on these biblical events, bringing the timeless love story to life with vigor and vitality. You’ll witness the love and respect between Mary and her fiancé, Joseph, who was less than thrilled at first when he learned his bride-to-be was with child. With an abundance of original scores, “Someway, Somehow” takes the audience on a dramatic, fantastical journey through the streets of Bethlehem!

Kingdom Choices Enterprises presents
Scattered Choices
By LaTonya Bell-Jones

Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 6:30pm

Location: Bowie Center for the Performing Arts.

SCATTERED CHOICES was written to portray some of the good, bad, right, and wrong choices we make throughout our lives that affect our lives and/or the lives of others. Our hope is that you fall in love with the messages, characters, songs, etc. of SCATTERED CHOICES as the characters make modern day choices regarding sex, love, drugs, violence, etc. while attending the Kingdom Choices Retreat Camp (KCRC).

As the characters attend KCRC, they share the SCATTERED CHOICES they have made, will make, and/or are desiring to make with various expressions of comedy, love, anger, prayers, songs, violence, and dances. Most importantly, the characters learn from their booklet, “12 KINGDOM CHOICES to Live Heaven on Earth.” As such, they learn to call and turn the good and right choices they make into KINGDOM CHOICES which are choices that line up with the WORD of GOD.

It is our goal to give everyone who attends the stage play a free copy of our booklet so they too can have an understanding of KINGDOM CHOICES. Prayerfully, attendees will read it and come to an understanding that we desire to encourage or help you “Draw close to GOD as HE draws close to you” (James 4:8) in an intimate or more intimate relationship as a result of seeing our stage play and reading our booklet. To GOD be the glory, Amen!

NOTE: VIP Tickets include: Reserved Seating, Black Room Access with Refreshments (Intermission and After Show), Souvenir Wristband and/or Mug, and Autographed Program of Cast Members.

Tickets: $30 to $50. Click here.
