When a murder takes place in her drawing room she finds live drama much harder to cope with, especially as she suspects the murderer might be her young stepdaughter Pippa. Worse still, the victim is the man who broke up Henry’s first marriage! Clarissa’s fast talking places her in some hair raising experiences, as she comes to learn that the facts are much more terrifying than fiction.

Death Ahoy

Cruise director Sunny Sails had her own way of handling the passengers on the good ship Legendary Carnival. Her two decades of life on the Caribbean had seen her promoted from busgirl to the person whom everyone depends upon to get things done. The past eight years had been spent making sure that passengers were happy and content as they enjoyed the amenities of a world-class cruise ship.

It was indeed strange, then, that her body was found early one warm morning tucked away near a lifeboat on Deck 5. At first, everyone was certain it was a tragic accident – an unexpected slip on a wet deck, or an inadvertent misstep.

Yet, the more that was discovered about the death, the more apparent it became that Sails met her demise in an untimely fashion. Who would have wanted to do in such a maritime fixture? After all, stories of Sunny’s many adventures were recounted by cruise ship employees from Fort Lauderdale to Panama. Some of those tales, if true, would make an experienced sailor blush.

Her many encounters with the rich and famous aboard the Legendary Carnival would provide fascinating reading for someone who might want to learn the real ins and outs of a life aboard a luxury ocean liner.

Although the official investigation of the death would have to wait until the ship docked, a selected group of on-board sleuths could provide an early insight into what could have happened to turn a sunny event into a cloudy affair.

Betting on Death

Everyone simply knew him as “Harold,” one of the many street people who wandered through Las Vegas. He was seemingly a harmless, homeless person who elicited a smile and a muffled laugh whenever he was around – or so people thought.

No one would ever have imagined what would be found when he met an untimely end, hit by a speeding sportscar in front of the Labachio Hotel and Casino while a shocked entourage of erstwhile pseudo-entrepreneurs looked on in disbelief. That’s when the preconceived perceptions of Harold went through a traumatic transformation. For, as police investigated, they discovered that “looks are deceiving,” and that Harold was more than a mere avenue adventurer.

Who was Harold and why did he adopt his dilatory disguise? What was he looking for as he wandered waywardly in the wind? And, was his death an accident, or a premeditated plot that would have unexpected repercussions? Only expert sleuthing would produce a winning hand and solve the case.

Lurking Down the Bunny Trail

When: Wednesday, April 15, 2015
Time: 6:00PM – 9:00PM – Murder Mystery starts at 7:00 p.m.

For 20 years, Benson’s Big Beautiful Bunny Boutique has been the premier breeder of rabbits for springtime holidays. Owner Barney Benson built an operation that prides itself in the quality cottontails it provides both to local pet stores and to the public. Benson is renowned for the innovative techniques he uses that have revolutionized rabbit breeding.

Daily, admiring visitors to the boutique take guided tours, then select the perfect bouncing pets from his state-of-the-art rabbit hutch, complete with environmental controls and automated bunny feeder.

But all is not well because, yesterday, as Barney was opening for business, a huge letter “B” from the new sign hanging atop the hutch suddenly dislodged and fell on him, striking Barney in the head and leaving the boutique leaderless.

What at first seemed like a tragic accident was so suspicious to police that they soon declared the bunny breeder had met an untimely demise at the hands of a killer. Someone had done away with the lord of the leap by tattooing him with his own initial.

Ten Actors in costume from the Bowie Community Theatre will perform “Death in Them Thar Hills” The setting is in the 1880’s gold rush era near the Grand Canyon, where prospector and gold mine owner, Dusty Jones, died suddenly. The fun begins when we try to figure out “who dun him in.” A full course dinner with dessert will be served from 6-7:30pm, performance begins at 8pm. There will be a Silent Auction, 50/50 raffle, Pulltabs, and Door prizes.
