This is the story of Mrs. Dolly Levi, the beloved matchmaker, and her efforts to marry Horace Vandergelder, the well-known half-a-millionaire. Along the way she also matches up the young and beautiful widow Molloy with head clerk, Cornelius Hacki, Cornelius’ assistant Barnaby Tucker with Mrs. Molloy’s assistant, Minnie Fay, and the struggling artist Ambrose Kemper with Mr. Vandergelder’s niece, Ermengarde. Classic musical numbers include “Put on Your Sunday Clothes”, “Before the Parade Passes By”, “It Only Takes a Moment”, and “So Long Dearie”.

Description: Adapted from a book-length poem written in and about the Roaring Twenties, Andrew Lippa’s The Wild Party tells the story of one wild evening in the Manhattan apartment shared by Queenie and Burrs, a vaudeville dancer and a vaudeville clown. In a relationship marked by vicious behavior and recklessness (mirroring the time in which they live), they decide to throw a party to end all parties. An award-winning score by Andrew Lippa provides excitement and drive for this tale of passions out of control. Capturing the sound of a bygone era with a nod to the present one, he makes us realize that moral decadence is not only limited to our past.

Performances run weekends from Friday April 25, 2014 through Sunday May 18, 2014 with Friday and Saturday evening performances at 8 p.m. Tickets are $18 for general admission. Description: Ain’t Misbehavin’ is a musical revue with a book by Murray Horwitz and Richard Maltby, Jr., and music by various composers and lyricists. It is named after the song by Fats Waller (with Harry Brooks and Andy Razaf), “Ain’t Misbehavin'”. The musical is a tribute to the black musicians of the 1920s and ’30s who were part of the Harlem Renaissance, an era of growing creativity, cultural awareness, and ethnic pride, and takes its title from the 1929 Waller song “Ain’t Misbehavin'”. It was a time when Manhattan nightclubs like the Cotton Club and the Savoy Ballroom were the playgrounds of high society and Lenox Avenue dives were filled with piano players banging out the new beat known as swing. Performers present an evening of rowdy, raunchy, and humorous songs that encapsulate the various moods of the era and reflect Waller’s view of life as a journey meant for pleasure and play.

Description: Raised as a humble fisherman’s son, Perseus doesn’t know he’s a castaway prince. When he is lured on a quest to confront the hideous Gorgon, Perseus receives three magical gifts: a sword, a shield, and a veil of invisibility. By using the gifts in unexpected ways, Perseus discovers the monster’s secret – and his own. Mythologist Edith Hamilton called the story of Perseus and the Gorgon the most fairytale-like of the Greek myths. Our 2014 production will feature all the romance, magic, and adventure of a classic fairytale, enhanced by design elements influenced by the culture and art of India.
