UpSpring Studio presents POP!

POP! In this aerial dance production, UpSpring Aerial Lab uses pop art as inspiration for new work in aerial fabric, aerial sling, dance trapeze, mini lyra, and poi.

Featuring work inspired by Andy Warhol, Marisol, Roy Lichtenstein, May Wilson, Claes Oldenburg and more.

Join us Sunday, June 4th, 4pm at Joe’s Movement Emporium. Intermission refreshments for sale by Mt. Rainier PTO. All proceeds from refreshments sale benefit arts education in Mt. Rainier Elementary School.

Join Clowns Without Borders for an evening of circus performance at Joe’s Movement Emporium

Clowns Without Borders performs for displaced people all over the world. Come experience the joy of circus, and learn how we use laughter to transform communities in crisis. Watch a world-class performance of acrobats, jugglers, aerialists, and clowns! Hear artists share their stories about performing in refugee camps and conflict zones worldwide.

This event will be child-friendly, but not child focused.

What would you do in an apocalypse? UpSpring Aerial Lab explores how individuals respond to the end of the world. Featuring performances in aerial fabric, trapeze, poi, and more.

Mount Rainier Elementary PTO will sell concessions before the show and during intermission to raise money for arts programs at the school.

Clown is an evolving art form which celebrates a universal sense of fun. Through performance, workshops, and audience interaction, Clown Cabaret keeps the tradition alive with laughter. During the company’s NextLOOK residency, they will continue developing their newest work. In The Heist, a trio of menacing gangsters conspires to execute the Greatest Robbery of the 21st Century: a piggy bank. A film noir motif carries the story without dialogue, making the show accessible to audiences regardless of language or age. The Heist is a robust physical comedy, with nods to both high and low art ranging from French Surrealism to Bugs Bunny.
