Audition dates: February 3 & 4 at 7pm. Call-backs, if necessary, will be February 6.

Description: “The Fox on the Fairway”, a farce by Ken Ludwig, will be PGLT’s third production of the 2013-14 season. It will be directed by John (“Jack”) Degnan and coproduced by Keith Brown and Estelle Miller. A tribute from Ken Ludwig (Lend Me A Tenor, Moon Over Buffalo) to the great English farces of the 1930s and 1940s, “The Fox On the Fairway” takes audiences on a hilarious romp which pulls the rug out from underneath the stuffy denizens of a private country club. Filled with mistaken identities, slamming doors, and over-the-top romantic shenanigans, it’s a furiously paced comedy that recalls the Marx Brothers’ classics. A charmingly madcap adventure about love, life, and man’s eternal love affair with… golf.

Auditions for “The Fox on the Fairway” will be held Monday, February 3, and Tuesday, February 4, beginning at 7:00 pm. Callbacks, if necessary, will be held on Thursday, February 6. Auditions and rehearsals are held at the New Carrollton Municipal Center, 6016 Princess Garden Parkway, New Carrollton, MD 20784 (directions). The production will run for nine performances from Friday, May 2 through Sunday, May 18, 2014 at the Bowie Playhouse. The director, John Degnan, is looking for appropriately aged actors for the following roles. Henry, Dickie, Pamela, and Muriel are middle-aged contemporaries (mid-40s to early 60s) while Justin and Louise are in their 20s.
