Love and a fantasy prevail in an avant-garde style as Pierrot and Pierrette play out their lives as friends. But Pierrette develops feelings for Pierrot. Unaware, Pierrot searches for a woman of great beauty. Only through the efforts of a mysterious guest, who manufactures dreams, can Pierrot connect his lofty desires to Pierrette.
