‘Tis Pity She’s a Whore at Greenbelt Arts Center, Aug 16-31

‘Tis Pity She’s a Whore
by John Ford
(A guest production by The Rude Mechanicals)

Greenbelt Arts Center

Friday August 16th at 8:00 pm
Saturday August 17th at 8:00 pm
Friday August 23rd at 8:00 pm
Saturday August 24th at 8:00 pm
Sunday August 25th at 2:00 pm
Friday August 30th at 8:00 pm
Saturday August 31st at 8:00 pm

In this deliciously twisted offering by the Rude Mechanicals, John Ford’s controversial tale of incest, obsession, revenge, blighted religion, and social amorality is given a touch of Tarantino, set in 1947 Italy among its most prominent Mafioso families. It could be Romeo and Juliet, through a glass, darkly, if the star-crossed lovers were … keeping it in the family.

Friday & Saturday at 8:00, Sunday Aug 25 at 2:00

Ticket prices: $17 General Admission, $14 Students/Seniors/Military, $12 Child (12 and under with adult)

Parental advisory: This play was first published in 1633 and the subject matter was controversial for several centuries. For more information click here.
