The Greenbelt Arts Center announces auditions for:
Tick, Tick… Boom! an autobiographical musical
by Jonathan Larson
directed by Margo McCready

Audition dates:
Sunday, January 12, 2025, from 5-7pm
Monday, January 13, 2025, from 7-9pm

Location: Greenbelt Arts Center

Performance Dates: March 21 – April 12, 2025, Fri. & Sat. at 8pm; Sun. at 2pm

Theatre: Bowie Community Theatre at the Bowie Playhouse

Jon is an aspiring musical composer struggling to find success in the industry approaching his 30th birthday. He contemplates whether he should continue to struggle doing what he loves or follow the paths of his girlfriend Susan, choosing family as a means of stability, or his best friend Michael, changing careers to find stability. This autobiography of Jonathan Larson, best known for creating “Rent”, was made into a movie in 2021.

Alex Zavistovich is the Artistic Director of The National Edgar Allan Poe Theatre. In this family-friendly mentalism show, running approximately one hour, we’ll use real books to predict audience word choices, duplicate drawings, make things disappear, and even cause audience members to share the same thoughts. And we’ll learn something about Edgar Allan Poe along the way.
