The Heroes’ Tale, a unique one-act drama, chronicles the story of four African American men – the Dupont Circle Heroes – from the 1960s through the 1980s and their startling connection with a young biracial woman in search of her identity. This unique production provocatively reveals the history of the Heroes while taking a fresh look at social issues including wrongful imprisonment, rape, interracial relationships, racial identity, gentrification and the plight of DC’s disenfranchised citizens.
