Description:

It is Christmas 1183 and you’re invited to a family gathering and to bear witness to King Henry II of England’s announcement of who will succeed him on the throne. But which one of Henry & Eleanor’s sons will be the next king? Unlike Lear, Henry won’t divide his house. Henry wants John, Eleanor wants Richard and no one, except Geoffrey, wants Geoffrey.

Philip, King of France, is demanding the marriage of his sister, Alais, to Richard. But Richard doesn’t want her and Henry does.

So, in may ways, it’s just your typical holiday get-together with lots of family drama. Power and allegiances shift as the players vie for the throne – the one constant being the deep love between Henry & Eleanor.

Join Lumina’s newest performing group – The Raye Players for one of the funniest, devious, romantic holiday celebrations ever.
