Gilbert and Sullivan are the undisputed masters of comic operetta and the proud parents of the modern musical. That their works are more in demand today than when they were created over a century ago is ample proof of their lasting brilliance. H. M. S. PINAFORE answers the burning question of who, among equals, is the most equal, but only when the men of the mismatched couples discover they were switched in their cradles as infants.

Produced by special arrangement with R&H. Performances run weekends from Friday April 28, 2017 through Sunday May 21, 2017 with Friday and Saturday evening performances at 8 p.m.

Happy Hollandaise at Laurel Mill Playhouse, Dec 2-18

Happy Hollandaise at Laurel Mill Playhouse, Dec 2-18

Happy Hollandaise
By Tim Koenig
Directed by Michael Hartsfield
Produced by Maureen Rogers

Friday December 2, 2016 through Sunday December 18, 2016

Location: Laurel Mill Playhouse

All Claire Finley wants is the perfect Christmas. She’s hired the celebrated gourmet chef Vilma Hasenpfeffer to prepare her famous Hasenpfeffer Hollandaise Sauce for her dinner guests, the new vicar and his very pregnant wife, Mary. Unfortunately, however, the chef is late, the guests are early and there are burglars loose in the neighborhood. To top it all off, Claire’s father has been hit on the head (with the creche, no less!) and thinks he’s the leading man in all of the West End theatre productions of the last 30 years! With the help of her quirky brother George, Claire tries to keep everything together as it continues to unravel in this sidesplitting British farce reminiscent of Arsenic and Old Lace. But once the mayhem dies down and the mixed-up identities unscramble, the true Christmas spirit shines bright in a surprise ending, which involves transformation, forgiveness, and a beautiful new beginning.

Produced by special arrangement with Pioneer Drama Service. Performances run weekends from Friday December 2, 2016 through Sunday December 18, 2016 with Friday and Saturday evening performances at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20 for general admission. Admission for students (12 and under), active duty military and seniors (65 and over) is $15. Tickets can be purchased by clicking the link below.
