Remember Our Local Theaters in Your End-of-Year Gift Giving

The global pandemic of 2020 & 2021 has been hard on our Prince George’s County community theaters. Prince George’s Little Theatre (PGLT) in Bowie and Venus Theatre in Laurel have closed their doors, while Wolf Pack Theatre Company in Riverdale and Tantallon Community Players in Fort Washington are on hold. All of our local theaters are struggling to continue to pay ongoing expenses and to plan their re-opening in 2022.

We welcome the new production company Upstage Artists. Bowie Community Theatre and 2nd Star Productions have announced their re-opening this Spring. Greenbelt Arts Center, MAD Theater, Prince George’s Summer Shakespeare Festival, Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center and others have managed to create on-line content with performances over Zoom and YouTube, many of which can still be viewed online.

Our theaters and production companies need your help more than ever. Please remember your local theater during the holiday season as you plan your end-of-year donations.

If you would like to support this website, click here. We are a very small organization, and we do not have non-profit status, so donations to pgtheater.com are not tax-deductible.

Thank you! Have a joyous holiday season and a happy new year!
