The epic struggle between good and evil comes to life on stage in the musical phenomenon, Jekyll & Hyde. Based on the classic story by Robert Louis Stevenson and featuring a thrilling score of pop rock hits from multi-Grammy- and Tony-nominated Frank Wildhorn and double-Oscar- and Grammy-winning Leslie Bricusse, Jekyll & Hyde has mesmerized audiences the world over. An evocative tale of two men – one, a doctor, passionate and romantic; the other, a terrifying madman – and two women – one, beautiful and trusting; the other, beautiful and trusting only herself – both women in love with the same man and both unaware of his dark secret.

A portion of Jekyll and Hyde the Musical’s proceeds will be utilized for Community Crisis Services suicide prevention/intervention efforts.

With a cast consisting of mostly homeless and formerly homeless people, watch their stories unfold from a life of drugs, alcohol, prostitution, and crime to becoming Praise Leaders, Ministers, Outreach Coordinators, Psalmists and more.

The Play is FREE to the Public. Bring your guest(s) and witness why many people were motivated and inspired to join the fight to end homelessness.

Wednesday, September 25th at 6:00 pm

Location: Joe’s Movement Emporium

Join us for a gathering of women’s voices celebrating their faith, strength and their will to survive, overcome and thrive in the face of breast cancer. Women will share their stories through spoken word, poetry, dance and more.

The event starts at 6:00 pm with reception/red carpet and production will start at 7 pm.

There will be a Q&A panel discussion after the presentation featuring Dr. Regina Hampton, President Doctors Community Hospital & Founder Breast Care for Washington, Dr Laray Imani Price, PHD – Psychologist, Cancer Survivorship Care, Women’s Inner Fitness & Wellness Ctr. and a notable genetic testing and nutrition health experts.

Partial funds to benefit the ‘MobileMammo’ program: “D.C. has the highest breast cancer mortality rate in the nation, but a new mobile mammography program seeks to change that.”

The Finger draws its impetus from a vacuum, from a family bereft, and the implacable dynamics between two women. In it, a disappearance calls for-and exacts-rituals in the gap between life and death.
