Audition Process: The auditions will be cold readings from the script with some improv.

Performances will be February 28 to March 16, 2014.

Open enrollment for Greenbelt Winter Youth Musical.

The Greenbelt Winter Youth Musical will be Perseus and the Gorgon, written and directed by Chris Cherry.

Come be a part of the 14th Greenbelt Youth Musical! Teen performers in grades 7 through 12 will present Perseus And The Gorgon, an original musical written and directed by Chris Cherry. This is an open-enrollment program, so everyone who signs up is cast in the show. Participants must attend the casting rehearsals on December 15 and 16 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Participants also must be available for weekend rehearsals beginning January 10 and for all four performances during the first two weekends of March.

Description: Teens who love to act, dance and sing, are invited to audition for the Prince George’s Traveling Players! Those selected will be employed to perform a one-act, live musical theater production at various venues throughout the community. This is a paid position and requires 100% dedication from all employees. Actors hired for this seasonal company will be employed part-time from January to May. Rehearsals for the production will be Monday and Wednesday evenings.

Auditions will be at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 9801 Livingston Road, Fort Washington MD.

Performances will be Friday February 21, 2014 through Sunday March 2, 2014. Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm, Sundays at 3pm.

Description: The 1940s installment of August Wilson’s Pittsburgh Cycle explores one African-American man’s fight for his own humanity, self-understanding and self-acceptance in the face of personal and societal ills. Described as “part bawdy comedy, part dark elegy and part mystery”, Seven Guitars is another Wilson masterpiece.
