Laurel Mill Playhouse announces auditions for their annual Children’s show:
Disney’s Newsies Jr. and Kid’s Cabaret
Directed by Michael Hartsfield

Ages 8 – 17.

Auditions will be June 7, 8 & 9.
Performances August 1 – 17, 2025
Performances Fri. at 8 PM; Sat. at 1 or 2 PM; Sat at 8 PM; Sun. at 2 PM.

Location: Laurel Mill Playhouse

Registration fee is $65.00 and should be paid at our first meetings/rehearsals (6/7 , 6/8, and 6/9). Individual forms must be submitted for each participant, even for members of the same family. The $65 fee covers participation, a show t-shirt, a show DVD, and a cast party. This fee also entitles each participant to one(1) complimentary ticket to the show.*

On Saturday, 6/7, 11am-1pm, participants will learn two audition songs and a short dance combination. On Sunday, 6/8, 5-7pm, participants will audition for various parts in the show using the songs and the dance they learned. On Monday, 6/9, 5:30-8:00pm, parts will announced and rehearsals begin.

Drop into the comical final dress-rehearsal of this high school play. Cast members are challenged to play two roles at once, alternating between a stereotypical high school student and a formal Greek character in this retelling of the classic Greek Tragedy. *Performed by DKI Acting Academy; Samuel Ogle MS Location

Join the Teen Performance Ensemble and be part of an exciting new production of Anansi the Spider, a vibrant African folk tale brought to life through music, dance, and drama! This is your chance to perform in a professional tour, develop your acting skills, and get paid for doing what you love. Rehearsals run from April to June, with performances from June 30 to August 8.
