Join CPAE for a fun community youth production of Alice in Wonderland, directed by Allison Hughes and Laura Lising. No auditions, no experience required. There is a part for everyone from chorus members to soloist. Everyone will get to be part of something very special!

Ages 4 to 14

Deadline for registration – June 20th

First rehearsal /read through – June 29th
Rehearsals will be:
– Sundays from 3 – 5pm
– Tuesdays from 6 – 8pm
– Thursdays from 4 – 6pm
They will be held at the Old Parrish House (4711 Knox Rd, College Park), and St. Andrew’s Church (4512 College Ave, College Park).

Performance on July 19 at 4:30pm at the Old Parish House.

Cost: $30 per performer; Checks payable to CPAE due at the first rehearsal.

Performances run weekends from Friday May 30, 2014 through Sunday June 15, 2014 with Friday and Saturday evening performances at 8 p.m. Sunday matinee performances on June 1, June 8 and June 15. All matinees begin at 2:00 PM.

Description: One of Shakespeare’s earliest comedies. The Taming of the Shrew tells the story of how Petruchio, the money-grubbing wife hunter, transforms the aggressive and bad-tempered Katherine Minola into an obedient, honey-tongued trophy wife. This production features teens from 7th to 12th grade.

Teen Summer One Act Plays

Location: Laurel Mill Playhouse

Laurel Mill Playhouse, 508 Main Street, Laurel, Md. will hold auditions for teen actors, male and female, for those entering eighth grade to entering senior year of high school. Auditions will be held Thursday May 22 at 730pm and Saturday May 24 at 3pm. Director Larry Simmons will be looking to fill 20 to 25 roles in a mixture of drama and comedy. Produced by Diana Simmons and executively produced by Maureen Rogers, these one acts will run three weekends from June 27 to July 13, Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm, with matinees to be determined. There will be cold readings from scripts. Bring conflicts, head shots and resumes. No monologue preparation needed. No appointment is necessary.
