Visually stunning, kinesthetically invigorating, and intellectually evocative this piece is inspired by the work of visual artist Joseph Cornell whose boxed assemblages earned him the reputation for being America’s most poetic and mysterious artist. This production is supported by the Maryland State Arts Council Presenting and Touring Program and the Alternate Roots Tour and Residency Program.

Adventure with Damien, our young hero, as he solves the mystery and discovers a secret world of magic where he must help the princesses break an enchantment and defeat the Goblin Queen before she takes over the kingdom. Broadway Singer/Actor/Dancer Laura Schutter will teach the original Broadway choreography from Mary Poppins at the New Chicago Dance Studio. Laura Schutter spent 6 years performing Mary Poppins on Broadway. She played Millie in the Thoroughly Modern Millie revival Broadway touring company. Other credits include Broadway, London West End and touring companies. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn musical theatre dance techniques from a highly accomplished professional.

Cost: $35 per student.
Age 8 to adult.
