Clown Cabaret – We’re Back!

Wednesday, April 17th at 8 pm

Location: Joe’s Movement Emporium

Clown Cabaret produces a potpourri of amazing comedy talent, including veterans of Big Apple Circus, Ringling Bros., Cirque du Soleil (and more), and graduates of LeCoq, Gaulier, and Dell’Arte schools (and more).

Come see a variety of … variety performers who are stretching to create better, stronger, funnier acts. We know how it works on paper and in the studio; the next step is getting it on stage! Come join us and be a part of the process!

Clowns are terribly misunderstood these days. Our goal is to change that. With highly skilled, well-trained performers, Clown Cabaret will not only expand the audience’s understanding, but give them the opportunity to laugh, cry, and, maybe, throw a pie in someone’s face.

Clown Cabaret was founded in 2010 by DC performers Karen Beriss, Matthew Pauli and Rich Potter in order to give clowns an opportunity to try new material in a supportive and fun venue with a great audience. Variety performers showcase new material and explore new facets of established material and, most importantly, play.

Tickets: Adults: $25, Children (16 & under): $15, Students/Seniors/Veterans: $20. Click here.

When a man is accused of abducting half a dozen cats, it’s a simple open-and-shut case, even for a jury that’s filled with oddballs like a dim-witted PR guy, a bickering couple, and a man obsessed with french fries. After all, every scrap of evidence indicts the accused. (I mean so clearly. The man is very, very guilty of stealing cats. Case closed.) And yet, Juror #8, a wannabe lawyer, believes that the “Cat Burglar” is innocent. Will he be able to sway the other jury members? Or will they side with Juror #3, the only sane man in the room? A hilarious parody of 12 Angry Men
