Clarissa, wife of a diplomat, is adept at spinning tales of adventure but when a murder takes place in her drawing room she finds live drama much harder to cope with. Desperate to dispose of the body before her husband arrives with an important politician, she enlists the help of her guests. Hilarity ensues when they are interrupted by the arrival of wry detective, Inspector Lord.

Performances run weekends from Friday October 12, 2018 through Sunday November 4, 2018 with Friday and Saturday evening performances at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20 for general admission. The comedic mystery, The Hidden Guest, was Greenbelt’s first high school drama club production, performed in 1938. The venue for this anniversary production will be the Community Center auditorium, where the high school students performed the play 80 years ago. The play will be performed by the staffers of Greenbelt Recreation’s performing arts camps. All profits from ticket sales will go toward the camp scholarship fund. Becky’s New Car is a hilarious screwball comedy with serious overtones, a devious and delightful romp down the road not taken. Have you ever been tempted to flee your own life? Becky Foster is happily married to a good man, and together they struggle to survive in a bad economy and to support their son, who lives in the basement while he works toward his degree. Becky takes a trip on the “wild side,” with a billionaire who just happens to enter the car dealership where Becky works, only to discover that her inability to say “no” has created a trunk-full of problems. How can a nice person who has done something bad get herself out of this car wreck?
