Description:

It is Christmas 1183 and you’re invited to a family gathering and to bear witness to King Henry II of England’s announcement of who will succeed him on the throne. But which one of Henry & Eleanor’s sons will be the next king? Unlike Lear, Henry won’t divide his house. Henry wants John, Eleanor wants Richard and no one, except Geoffrey, wants Geoffrey.

Philip, King of France, is demanding the marriage of his sister, Alais, to Richard. But Richard doesn’t want her and Henry does.

So, in may ways, it’s just your typical holiday get-together with lots of family drama. Power and allegiances shift as the players vie for the throne – the one constant being the deep love between Henry & Eleanor.

Join Lumina’s newest performing group – The Raye Players for one of the funniest, devious, romantic holiday celebrations ever.

Gay marriage has been legalized and a Black woman is now the First Lady. WORD! So since Michelle Obama is now the world’s fashionista and icon, that means racism and homophobia have ended, right? WRONG! While media makes the world seems to appear more “accepting” of our differences, there are still many stereotypes that we blatantly ignore, like genderism and AUDISM. WTF is AUDISM, you ask? How the heck do the hearing and deaf connect? What do a gay man and a straight woman have in common? Trust, it’s NOT the same pair of shoes! We’ve got TO do better. TWO heads are better than one. And yes, we’ve ALL got a story, TOO! If you listen closely, you’ll be sure to find, it’s true, that you are TOO of a KIND.

Thunderous Productions presents:

The Unexpected Guest

by Agatha Christie
June 21 – 23, Friday & Saturday at 8:00, Saturday and Sunday 2:00

On a foggy night, Michael Starkwedder enters the home of the Warwicks through a window in the study. He finds the dead body of Richard Warwick, and sees Warwick’s wife, Laura, holding a gun that supposedly killed him. Despite the murder being obvious, and overwhelming evidence pointing towards it, Starkwedder does not believe she killed him, and she soon tells him she’s innocent. But there are other suspects as well – Warwick’s mother, his simple half-brother, the sinister Angell or the apparantly goody-goody Miss Bennett. The real murderer could be anyone.

Ticket prices: $17 General Admission, $14 Students/Seniors/Military, $12 Child (under 12)
