In Louisa May Alcott’s beloved book “Little Women,” writer Jo March and her sisters Meg, Beth and Amy represent the experiences of women and families during the Civil War. Alcott’s timeless coming-of-age story debuted as a musical on Broadway in 2005, bringing these memorable characters to life through song and movement. The musical immerses audiences in the adventures of the March sisters, through love, hope and self-discovery.

“It’s hard not to love the March girls of Concord, MA, so deeply etched are Jo, Meg, Beth and Amy on the cultural and emotional landscape that they resurface from generation to generation like cherished friends.”—David Rooney, Variety

Gutenberg! The Musical is a play within a play, like Hamlet but even funnier! Wannabe Broadway writers Bud and Deb are just so darn excited to share their new musical with an audience, and what better way to share it than through a Zoom call! What they may lack in talent they make up for in awkward energy! Although their show – a biography of Johannes Gutenberg, inventor of the Printing Press – features an extensive cast, Bud and Deb have decided that for tonight’s performance they’ll read all the parts themselves! Starring Capital Fringe Festival favorites David Koenigberg and Aria Velz, Gutenberg! The Musical! is the perfect show for the COVID age- with no sets and costumes it relies only on your off-kilter imagination!

Notice: this play contains adult themes and language.

By purchasing a ticket you will receive the link to watch the show. Tickets: $15.

Description: In the boarded-up building of the now-closed School For Super-Heroes, alumni of the school’s drama club gather for a secret reunion – and a meeting of the underground Resistance to the repressive Regime. The founders of the club are missing, but they’ve left behind a tantalizing clue: It’s a partial script, telling the story of Theseus, the legendary hero and founder of democracy. Now, new leaders must step forward to lead the club and bring the script to life, mounting an audacious production that may be the last hope to reopen the realm of storytime, rescue the missing heroes, and undermine the Regime’s despotic power.
