If you thought you knew the story of The Princess and The Pea, you may be in for a walloping surprise! Did you know, for instance, that Princess Winnifred actually swam the moat to reach Prince Dauntless the Drab? Or that Lady Larken’s love for Sir Harry provided a rather compelling reason that she reach the bridal altar post haste? Or that, in fact, it wasn’t the pea at all that caused the princess a sleepless night?

Carried on a wave of wonderful songs by Mary Rodgers (daughter of Richard Rodgers), this rollicking spin on the familiar classic of royal courtship and comeuppance provides for some side-splitting shenanigans. Chances are you’ll never look at fairy tales quite the same way again.

Join Young Artists of America at Strathmore as over 150 talented young instrumentalists and vocalists celebrate the 60th anniversary of this timeless score, as well as that of the Broadway debut of its star, Carol Burnett.

Based on the classic story by Robert Louis Stevenson and featuring a thrilling score of pop rock hits from multi-Grammy- and Tony-nominated Frank Wildhorn and double-Oscar- and Grammy-winning Leslie Bricusse, Jekyll & Hyde has mesmerized audiences the world over. An evocative tale of two men – one, a doctor, passionate and romantic; the other, a terrifying madman – and two women – one, beautiful and trusting; the other, beautiful and trusting only herself – both women in love with the same man and both unaware of his dark secret.

A portion of Jekyll and Hyde the Musical’s proceeds will be utilized for Community Crisis Services suicide prevention/intervention efforts.

A steamy prohibition tale, that tells the story of lovers Queenie and Burrs, who decide that their mutually abusive relationship can be fixed by throwing the party-to-end-all parties. After the colorful arrival of a slew of guests living life on the edge, the decadence reaches a climax, as does Burrs’ jealously. A gun gets fired, but who’s been shot?
