This is the story of Mrs. Dolly Levi, the beloved matchmaker, and her efforts to marry Horace Vandergelder, the well-known half-a-millionaire. Along the way she also matches up the young and beautiful widow Molloy with head clerk, Cornelius Hacki, Cornelius’ assistant Barnaby Tucker with Mrs. Molloy’s assistant, Minnie Fay, and the struggling artist Ambrose Kemper with Mr. Vandergelder’s niece, Ermengarde. Classic musical numbers include “Put on Your Sunday Clothes”, “Before the Parade Passes By”, “It Only Takes a Moment”, and “So Long Dearie”.

Description: One of Shakespeare’s earliest comedies. The Taming of the Shrew tells the story of how Petruchio, the money-grubbing wife hunter, transforms the aggressive and bad-tempered Katherine Minola into an obedient, honey-tongued trophy wife. This production features teens from 7th to 12th grade.
