Join us on Friday, September 20 from 7:30 – 10:00 pm for our second annual Rexford Revue, a fundraising event celebrating the museum. Held at the Greenbelt Arts Center (123 Centerway, Greenbelt MD 20770), the Revue will feature a Frank Sinatra tribute from Sean Reilly, classic cocktails from Dan Searing, author of The Punch Bowl, a silent auction, photo booth, hors d’oeuvres and more. Tickets can be purchased here for $30 for an individual or $50 for two people (tickets include one classic cocktail per person and hors d’oeuvres). This event is co-sponsored by the Greenbelt Arts Center and Maryland Milestones/Anacostia Trails Heritage Area.

BSU Theatre presents a staged reading of the new children’s play, “Mile in My Shoes,” by Jennifer L. Nelson.

Location: Black Box Theatre, Fine and Performing Arts Center, Bowie State University.

Thursday and Friday, September 19 and 20 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm

Cost: $3 for children; $5 for BSU faculty, staff, students and senior citizens; $10 general admission

The play commemorates the 9/11 attacks by exploring the lives of some of the heroes. The story follows a young fire captain and the journalist who helps him prepare eulogies. Together, they grow to understand the ways in which men were so much more than heroes to their colleagues and families.
