Matinee performances on February 17 and February 24 at 2:00 P.M.

When a man is accused of abducting half a dozen cats, it’s a simple open-and-shut case, even for a jury that’s filled with oddballs like a dim-witted PR guy, a bickering couple, and a man obsessed with french fries. After all, every scrap of evidence indicts the accused. (I mean so clearly. The man is very, very guilty of stealing cats. Case closed.) And yet, Juror #8, a wannabe lawyer, believes that the “Cat Burglar” is innocent. Will he be able to sway the other jury members? Or will they side with Juror #3, the only sane man in the room? A hilarious parody of 12 Angry Men

Produced by special arrangement with Playscripts, Inc.. Performances run weekends from Friday February 1, 2019 through Sunday February 24, 2019 with Friday and Saturday evening performances at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20 for general admission. Imagine that it’s 1950. The Korean War has started. McCarthyism, the practice of making accusations of subversion or treason without proper regard for evidence, is rampant in the U.S. government. The House Unamerican Activities Committee is destroying careers and ruining lives. Imagine also that you are gay (although that’s not what they called it then). How do you survive? Maybe you come up with some sort of . . . arrangement.

Ticket prices: $22 General Admission, $20 Students/Seniors/Military, $12 Youth (12 and under with adult). Buy tickets here.

Fuse, by Suzanne Creedon is a dance work that dissects the juxtaposition of minimality and maximality.

But in polar moments of anger and stress,
The room is disgusting,
The room is a mess.
I haven’t found an in-between, “Sometimes I shut my eyes,
A room with walls fills the darkness.
My current state decides the fate
Of the surroundings that besiege me.

In calmer times the walls are bare.
Nothing fills the space,
Nothing’s in the air.
and I wonder what feeling would cause that scene.”

Hapa

Pain and labor lie beneath the pleasurable, paradisiacal landscape of Hawaii. This new play weaves the author’s own upbringing in Hawaii with the island-state’s imperialist history and tourist based economy.

Gypsy is the ultimate tale of an ambitious stage mother fighting for her daughters’ success… while secretly yearning for her own. Set all across America in the 1920’s, when vaudeville was dying and burlesque was born, Arthur Laurents’ landmark show explores the world of two-bit show business with brass, humor, heart, and sophistication. The celebrated score, by Jule Styne and Stephen Sondheim, boasts one glorious hit after another, including: “Let Me Entertain You,” “Some People,” “You’ll Never Get Away from Me,” “If Momma Was Married,” “All I Need Is the Girl,” “Everything’s Coming Up Roses,” “You Gotta Get A Gimmick,” “Small World,” and “Together Wherever We Go.”
