Saturdays 9am-1pm, February 2, 2019 to May 19, 2019

The Junior Academy of the Performing Arts (JAPA) introduces musical theater to students who have a talent and curiosity for the performing arts and strengthens their knowledge and skill level through the disciplines of singing, acting and dance.

Students will discover the very best of themselves and be encouraged to share their stories in their own unique way!

Winter/Spring Session
Registration is now open! The program is open to young performers ages 8 to 15. Whether a seasoned performer or new to the stage, all levels are welcome to join our team of rising stars!

Intensive program fee: $500 residents/ $650 non-residents

M-NCPPC Theater Skills Workshop for ages 10-15

Mondays, 6pm to 8pm and Fridays, 7pm to 9pm; December 3, 2018 – February 22, 2019

Location: Huntington Community Center, 13022 8th Street, Bowie MD.

Learn how to stage a play, including acting, stage design, stage presence, and costume design. Present it to family and friends at the end of the camp session.

Ages 10 yrs. – 15 yrs.

No fee: free course.

Hell is a Bubble Tea Shop is a play that explores how we construct identity in the midst of obstacles and expectations… that happen to take the form of a Chinese-American family. We follow the journey of a freshly deceased young woman who tries to use her new perspective on life to make sense of familial expectations and pain.
