Story: The Cat in the Hat tells the story of Horton, an elephant who discovers a speck of dust containing Whos, including Jojo, a Who child sent off to a butter battling military school for thinking too many “thinks.” Horton’s attention to the speck of dust and his “loitering” care of Mayzie LaBird’s egg has elicited taunting and accusations from the rest of the animal kingdom, except for Gertrude McFuzz, who longs for his attention, and JoJo, whose “thinks” save them all in the end.

Butler Jr. Bowie, MD – September 24, 2014: Following rave reviews and sold out performances this summer, Restoration Stage is proud to present Chocolate Covered Ants; back by popular demand. Dr. Adrienne Taylor returns for another intense round of therapy and exploration. For the last three years, the professor of mental health at Farrington Women’s College has dedicated herself to researching the plight of the African-American woman. Chocolate Covered Ants chronicles the final leg of her study, an in-depth look at the African-American male and the hypothetical effects he may contribute to mental, social, and physical survival of the African-American female. As Dr. Adrienne Taylor journeys through the mind of the African-American man her study takes an unexpected turn. The joys, pains, truths, and lies she encounters promise to not only affect her patients, but Dr. Taylor herself.
