“Solomon and Marion” is the story of the unlikely friendship between:

Marion Banning, a white 63-year-old South African Woman of English descent. Marion is solid, has her feet on the ground – a wry sense of humor, generous and infinite need. She has lost her son and her husband and her will to live is diminished because of that.

Solomon Xaba, a young 19-year-old South African man of color from rural Xhoza. Inquisitive, aloof and fragile. He is thin because of a liver disease.
