Pipeline Playwrights Presents
Around the Snake Turn
A new play by Patricia Connelly
Directed by Rikki Howie Lacewell

June 19 – 28, 2026

Location: Joe’s Movement Emporium.

When Baaba’s son is accused of a crime, the local fetish priest curses the extended family—a curse that can only be lifted when a young virgin becomes a trokosi or wife to the gods, in reality, a slave to the priest. With her young daughter at risk, Baaba pits herself against family, religion, and tradition to keep her daughter safe.

Come for one, two or all three, you’ll see something different each chapter. So take a journey and find out that history doesn’t have to be a mystery.
