Prince George’s Community College Day of Play Workshops

The PGCC Day of Play will be a free all-day event full of fun music, theater, dance, and visual arts activities.

Students will select from four workshops hosted by our faculty in the Creative Arts, where they can create works of art (clay sculptures, drawings, fused bead creations, and cosplay design), engage in improv classes and dance classes, and learn songwriting techniques. There will also be a video game tournament throughout the day. The CPA lobby will be converted into an arcade, and students can play old retro video games throughout the event.

The PGCC jazz faculty ensemble will perform jazz covers of classic video game tunes throughout the event in the CPA lobby. Free lunch and dinner will also be provided for those who register. Students will have many opportunities to win prizes and to take home their creations. The event will conclude with a free concert by nerdcore hip-hop artist Mega Ran.
