One of Shakespeare’s best loved comedies that has something for everyone. It is one of the earliest examples of the modern romantic comedy. Everyone can see that confirmed bachelor Benedick and headstrong Beatrice are meant for each other – except for Benedick and Beatrice themselves! While their friends try to trick the bickering pair into admitting they’re in love, their young sidekicks Hero and Claudio start a romance of their own. But will false accusations, broken promises, and even a nutty and bumbling police force prevent a happy ending?

Tickets: $11.50. For more information click here.

National Players presents:
Much Ado About Nothing
by William Shakespeare

Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 7 pm

Location: Joe’s Movement Emporium.

War has ended and soldiers return home to forget their sorrows. It looks like love is in the air. Except between Beatrice and Benedick, who are determined not to fall in love and get married even though they can’t help engaging in daily verbal sparring matches with one another. Tricks, mistaken identity, and a clueless night watchman are on the horizon in this “will they/won’t they” comedy that features one of Shakespeare’s wittiest couples.

National Players is a unique ensemble bringing innovative theater to communities large and small across the United States. Founded in 1949, National Players stimulates youthful imagination and critical thinking by presenting classic plays in invigorating ways for modern audiences.
