Rockbridge Academy presents their 2016 musical production, You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown! The musical will be performed February 25-27, 2016. For those of you who are not familiar with the musical version of this beloved comic, you are in for a great treat. This musical majors in laughter, simplicity, friendship, and childhood – all infused with the ageless wisdom of Charles Schultz. Broadway audiences loved the 1999 revival version, and the show was nominated in 14 categories for the Tonys that year. We will be performing the 1999 version for our very own audiences, and it is appropriate and fun for all ages from preschool to great-grandparents!

Ticket prices are $15 for adults and $13 for children 12 and under.

Tickets may be purchased at the box office 1 hour before each show or online at: https://www.rockbridge.org/ticket-sales

Description: Rockbridge Academy’s 2014 musical is Meredith Willson’s The Music Man. In this award-winning Broadway musical, con-man Harold Hill passes himself off as “Professor” Harold Hill, boys band impresario. He sells band instruments and uniforms to the good folk of River City, Iowa, explaining that the boys don’t need to touch their instruments, but will learn to play through his revolutionary “Think System.” However, the prim librarian and piano teacher, Marian Paroo, sees through his ruse. But when Professor Hill helps her younger brother Winthrop overcome his shyness due to his lisp, Marian begins to fall for him. Harold falls for Marian as well, and risks arrest by the town’s authorities to win her.
