With masquerades and mistaken identities, this uproarious production brings Shakespeare’s classic farce to life in a whirl of chaos and comedy. Don’t miss the laughter, mischief, and magic of this unforgettable show! Bring your lawn chair, a picnic, and enjoy the Bard under the stars.

Note: The Publick Playhouse is an indoor venue and therefore seating is limited. Doors will open one hour prior to the performance; seating is first come, first served.

Shakespeare’s hilarious comedy comes to life in a colorful, lush production from Joshua McKerrow, director of the WATCH award-winning Lieutenant of Inishmore.

Improbable circumstances bring together a lively cast of characters in this early English farce. Mistaken identities… long-lost twins… long-lost parents… plus a hearty dose of slapstick comedy and witty wordplay. All set against the panoply of a glorious, exotic world.

Performances run weekends from Friday January 16, 2015 through Sunday February 1, 2015 with Friday and Saturday evening performances at 8 p.m, and Sunday matinees on January 25 and February 1 at 2:00 PM. LMP is seeking actors and performers of all kinds to bring this immersive experience to life in January 2015.

Please prepare a roughly 2-minute classical monologue and be prepared to read sides from the play. Bring a recent headshot and resume. All roles nonpaid.

Performances are scheduled to run from January 2, 2015 to January 18, 2015.
