Want to do theater with the Rudes this year? The Rude Mechanicals will be auditioning both Cat on A Hot Tin Roof and The Country Wife at the Greenbelt Arts Center on Monday, March 11th and Tuesday, March 12th. Callbacks will be Thursday, March 14th.

All are welcome to audition. Please arrive between 8-9PM, dress comfortably, relax, and have fun.

Cat on a Hot Tin Roof performs at GAC June 14th, 15th, 16th, 21st, and 22nd. The Country Wife performs at GAC August 9th, 10th, 11th, 16th, and 17th.

The rehearsal schedules will be three nights a week for “Cat”, one night for “Wife”, starting March 18th. Once “Cat” opens, “Wife” will rehearse three nights a week. Final schedule will be determined to account for casts’ conflicts.

Cat on A Hot Tin Roof has been often cited as Tennessee Williams’ masterwork. Winner of the Pulitzer Prize, it is a drama about the burning conflict and passion that grips a dysfunctional Southern family as it finally confronts and speaks the truth.
