Description: A play written by local writer Jim Wise will be read in the Recital Hall. All are welcome, there is no charge.

This is a part of the Bowie Center for the Performing Arts Play Reading Series, a monthly readers’ theatre series featuring reading of both new writing and already published work and sponsored by the Bowie Center for the Performing Arts in conjunction with local playwrights and theatre groups. The series was inaugurated with an August 19th performance by Restoration Stage of a new piece entitled Chocolate Covered Ants by local theatre artist Steven A. Butler, Jr. Directed by Courtney Baker-Oliver, the performance featured the talents of Suli Myrie, David Lamont Wilson, Joseph Lane, Vichelle Dawn Jones, Morgan Duncan, Reginald Richard, Christopher Ezell, and Jesse N. Holmes. The production was followed by a talk-back session with the author, director, and cast. For production and application guidelines, local theatre artists interested in producing a reading are encouraged to visit the Center web page at: www.bowiecenter.org/playreading.

The Bowie Center for the Performing Arts is pleased to announce the Yet Unnamed Play Reading Series, a monthly readers’ theatre series featuring readings of both new writing and already published work.
