Something wicked this way comes…
Kate Magill Robinson, director of Camp Encore’s terrific productions of As You Like It in 2013 and Lotsa Lazzi! in 2014, returns this summer to lead teen actors through Shakespeare’s lyrical tale of murder and madness.
An ensemble-based script, created just for this camp, will use Shakespeare’s original language to tell the story of the noble warrior Macbeth and his ambitious wife, who tread a dark path and trade their souls to gain the crown of Scotland. Our production, performed in the Greenbelt Arts Center on July 15 and 16, will also use movement, music and stage combat to tell this story of magic, power and destiny.
A four-week pass to the Greenbelt Aquatic and Fitness Center is included with tuition.
Some scheduling items to know before registering:
The camp extends until 6:00 pm on July 16, to make it easier for parents to attend the show! Attendance is mandatory from July 13 through July 16 (the dates of our final rehearsals and shows). In fairness to fellow actors, please keep absences on other days to a minimum. Please try to schedule medical appointments in the morning. Rehearsals are in the afternoon. TIME: 9:30am-3:30pm (Note that camp will extend until 6:00 pm on July 11 for our late afternoon performance for parents.)

FEES: Resident: $559, Non-Resident: $671
