The Science Guys of Baltimore are bringing together elements from all their shows to make one thunderous spectacle! Learn about lighting with a Tesla coil; see how extreme weather patterns are created through heat and pressure; make the world’s smallest blizzard; discover how rainbows are created after a storm, and so much more! B is for beatbox! Move, groove, and learn along with Max and Root, a dynamic dad duo. The Beatbox Dads give the letters of the alphabet rhythm and soul as they make music with their mouths! Their lively, interactive beatboxing style teaches foundational phonics, counting, and music skills as they engage kids in musical fun! This show is recommened for children ages 3-12. This interactive show explores how light and sound move in waves. The Science Guys of Baltimore will demonstrate the different shapes and sizes of waves and how they affect light and sound. Kids will be laughing with the voice-changing amplifier, wowed by the laser show, and shocked with a super cool electrostatic generator. Educational content recommended for ages 5-12. Please note, everyone must have a ticket to enter, regardless of age. Groups of 20 or more can call the Publick Playhouse Box Office at 301-277-1710 to make a group reservation.

Appropriate for ages 2 to 3, with an adult.

Puppet Friends in Storyland.

Join us for an interactive lesson with a hands-on activity. Your little one will play, laugh, and dance with their puppet pals while they work on social skills, early literacy development, listening, communication, fine motor skills, attention span, and their creativity!

Enjoy a nature story time! Listen to animal puppets as they read you a story about their family, and then join them and a naturalist as they led you through a nature themed craft! A different show each month!
