Be careful what you wish for as Stephen Sondheim’s and James Lapine’s cockeyed fairytale comes to life in this adaptation of their groundbreaking, Tony Award-winning musical. Into the Woods JR. features all of your favorite characters — Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack (and his beanstalk) and the Witch in this lyrically rich retelling of classic Brothers Grimm fables.

Performances run weekends from Friday August 4, 2017 through Sunday August 20, 2017 with Friday and Saturday evening performances at 8 p.m. Tickets are $22 for general admission. Admission for students (12 and under), active duty military and seniors (65 and over) is $17. Tickets can be purchased by clicking the link below. Synopsis: Annie Oakley is the best shot around, and when she’s discovered by Col. Buffalo Bill he persuades this novel sharpshooter to join his Wild West Show. It only takes one glance for her to fall head over heels for dashing shooting ace Frank Butler, who headlines the show. The stage is set for this classic musical comedy featuring famous Irving Berlin tunes including “There’s No Business Like Show Business,” “You Can’t Get a Man with a Gun,” “I Got the Sun in the Morning,” “Anything You Can Do,” and many more!

Performance Location: 2nd Star Productions at the Bowie Playhouse

We welcome non-traditional casting – all roles are open to all races and ethnic diversities!

Disney musical production was adapted for West End and Broadway by Julian Fellowes,
the creator of “Downton Abbey’, and won the Olivier award in 2005. The original
Broadway production ran for over 2,500 performances and received nominations for
nine Olivier and seven 2007 Tony Awards, including Best Musical. Dancing chimney
sweeps, flying kites, spoonfuls of sugar, and classic Disney songs you know and love!

Experience the joys, struggles and heartbreaks of an ensemble’s worth of show-biz hopefuls as they audition for a Broadway play in Marvin Hamlisch’s blockbuster backstage musical A Chorus Line. Produced by the Tantallon Players at Harmony Hall Regional Arts Center in Ft. Washington, this cherished classic combines poignant drama with top-notch song and dance, winning it the Pulitzer Prize and nine Tony Awards in its original run, including Best Musical and Best Score. This always-entertaining show also boasts pop songs that have become a true part of American culture, like “The Music and the Mirror,” “One (Singular Sensation),” “I Can Do That,” “What I Did for Love” and more.
