How do we bridge the ever-growing divide between law enforcement officers and the American communities they are charged with protecting? Acclaimed actors, police officers, local educators and concerned community members come together for dramatic readings and powerful gospel settings that bring to life Sophocles’ eternal Greek tragedy in Antigone in Ferguson – a ground-breaking social justice theatre project that aims to generate much-needed dialogue, to foster compassion and understanding, and to inspire taking positive action.

Description: Electric cellist-composer Wytold blends classical techniques with live looping to create interactive musical adventures featuring inventive remixes and original works. By exploring the relationship between the science of waves and musical scales, students learn how basic patterns in the world can create exciting and dynamic music. This production from Artivate has students interact to use their new knowledge to create a short musical piece together as a group.

Recommended for grades 3-8. Curriculum Connections: Social Studies, Music, Mathematics, Science, Technology.

The streets of Victorian England come to life as Oliver, a malnourished orphan in a workhouse, becomes the neglected apprentice of an undertaker. Oliver escapes to London and finds acceptance amongst a group of petty thieves and pickpockets led by the elderly Fagin. When Oliver is captured for a theft that he did not commit, the benevolent victim, Mr. Brownlow takes him in. Fearing the safety of his hideout, Fagin employs the sinister Bill Sikes and the sympathetic Nancy to kidnap him back, threatening Oliver’s chances of discovering the true love of a family.

Produced by special arrangement with MTI International. Performances run weekends from Friday November 23, 2018 through Sunday December 16, 2018 with Friday and Saturday evening performances at 8 p.m. Tickets are $22 for general admission. Hell is a Bubble Tea Shop is a play that explores how we construct identity in the midst of obstacles and expectations… that happen to take the form of a Chinese-American family. We follow the journey of a freshly deceased young woman who tries to use her new perspective on life to make sense of familial expectations and pain.
