When Baaba’s son is accused of a crime, the local fetish priest curses the extended family—a curse that can only be lifted when a young virgin becomes a trokosi or wife to the gods, in reality, a slave to the priest. With her young daughter at risk, Baaba pits herself against family, religion, and tradition to keep her daughter safe.
Pipeline Playwrights

Pipeline Playwrights is the only theater collaborative in the Washington, DC area dedicated to producing new plays by women playwrights. A 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation founded by women playwrights, Pipeline seeks to close the theatre gender gap one play, one reading, one production at a time.
