We invite you to audition for Prince George’s Shakespeare in the Parks, returning with an action-packed production of Shakespeare’s classic tragedy Macbeth. Inspired by the novel-turned-movie Gangs of New York, this 1860’s interpretation will feature intricate stage combat by some of the region’s best fight directors. Selected actors will be hired as seasonal employees by the Department of Parks and Recreation, starting at $15/hr. This allows actors to be paid for rehearsal, performance, and strike time. We are requiring all actors to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Proof of vaccination will be required to be hired for this production and all county mandates will be strictly enforced throughout the rehearsal and touring process. First rehearsal will be on Monday June 4, 2022 at The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center in College Park MD. Rehearsals are held Monday- Friday 7:00-10:30 and Saturday 10:00 am-3:00 pm.
