Created by Rich Potter.

In the beginning, God said, “Let there be light,” but first! … join His Greatness, moments before The Big Bang! In this hilarious interactive comedy, Rich Potter asks the biggest question of all: if God was around before Creation, what was he doing? Counting the hairs in His beard? Twiddling His cosmic thumbs? Driving around in a golf cart, wishing there was something to do?

This “irreverent romp… whose most impressive miracle is the ability to dissolve an entire audience into laughter…” [DC Metro Theater Arts] aims to amuse open-minded believers and open-minded non-believers alike.

Greenbelt resident, Rich Potter is a producer of Washington DC’s Clown Cabaret. He co-wrote and performed in Shakespearean send up, “ Delusions of Grandeur” (2012) and silent film noir comedy, “The Heist” (2014).

Three years as a RBBB Circus clown, a coach at Center Ring Circus School, dozens of years doing variety/comedy/juggling acts at festivals and corporate settings in dozens of countries, the Vice Presidential Mansion, and an appearance on “The Late Show with David Letterman” have led him here. Now he thinks he’s God.

Opening Weekend performances of Zombie Prom ARE CANCELLED

Given the predicted extreme blizzard event bearing down on the Mid-Atlantic region, and for the safety of our patrons, cast, and crew, Greenbelt Arts Center is very sorry to say we will be cancelling opening weekend performances of Zombie Prom (Friday 1/22 and Saturday 1/23).

For those who have pre-purchased tickets for this weekend, to the extent possible we will exchange your tickets for another performance during the run of the show at your request. We are looking at the option of adding additional performance dates within the run and will announce those if and when they are finalized.

If for some reason the storm does not materialize or downgrades to something smaller AND safer, we may announce the reinstatement of the Saturday performance.

Please stay safe, everyone.
