Opening Weekend performances of Zombie Prom ARE CANCELLED

Given the predicted extreme blizzard event bearing down on the Mid-Atlantic region, and for the safety of our patrons, cast, and crew, Greenbelt Arts Center is very sorry to say we will be cancelling opening weekend performances of Zombie Prom (Friday 1/22 and Saturday 1/23).

For those who have pre-purchased tickets for this weekend, to the extent possible we will exchange your tickets for another performance during the run of the show at your request. We are looking at the option of adding additional performance dates within the run and will announce those if and when they are finalized.

If for some reason the storm does not materialize or downgrades to something smaller AND safer, we may announce the reinstatement of the Saturday performance.

Please stay safe, everyone.

It’s the atomic 1950’s at Enrico Fermi High, where the law is laid down by a zany, tyrannical principal. Pretty senior Toffee has fallen for the class bad boy. Family pressure forces her to end the romance, and he charges off on his mortocycle to the nuclear waste dump. He returns glowing and determined to reclaim her heart. He still wants to graduate, but most of all he wants to take Toffee to the prom. The principal orders him to drop dead while a scandal reporter seizes on him as the freak du jour.
