Ken Krintz has been involved in live theatre for 20 years as an Actor and a Director. Always being curious about improvisation and the needed skills, he used his instructional design and training skills from his day job, his interaction and studies with other improv groups, and then put together an outline of rules, exercises, and games for several actors at LMP. They met informally, learned the rules, played a lot of games and had the times of their lives! They found it a nice change of pace from studying lines and managing props. That outline has grown into a five-session course that he has taught several times to both teens and adults.

Produced by Maureen Rogers

Location: Laurel Mill Playhouse

Friday February 13, 2015 through Sunday March 8, 2015

When Elwood P. Dowd starts to introduce his imaginary friend, Harvey, a six-and-a-half-foot rabbit, to guests at a society party, his sister, Veta, has seen as much of his eccentric behavior as she can tolerate. She decides to have him committed to a sanitarium to spare her daughter, Myrtle Mae, and their family from future embarrassment. Problems arise, however, when Veta herself is mistakenly assumed to be on the verge of lunacy when she explains to doctors that years of living with Elwood’s hallucination have caused her to see Harvey also!

Performances run weekends from Friday February 13, 2015 through Sunday March 8, 2015 with Friday and Saturday evening performances at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20 for general admission. Admission for students (12 and under), active duty military and seniors (65 and over) is $15. For reservations, please call 301-617-9906 and press 2.
