Auditions will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 6600 Laurel-Bowie Road, Route 197, Bowie, MD. 20715. Performance Location: Bowie Community Theatre at the Bowie Playhouse

Description: Unable to sleep, Elaine Wheeler paces the living room of her Manhattan townhouse, troubled by unsettling memories and vague fears. Elaine’s terror grows as she sees (or thinks she sees) a murder committed in the townhouse across the way. After several “crying wolf” calls to the police, all to no avail, and a visit from a psychiatrist hired by her husband, Elaine may be on the verge of a breakdown. Should Elaine commit herself to a sanitarium for treatment? From this point on, the plot moves quickly and grippingly as those involved—Elaine’s old friend and house guest Blanche; the inquisitive and rather sinister man who lives next door; and the nosy German maid Helga—all contribute to the deepening suspense and mystery of the play as it draws toward its riveting and chilling climax.

Reflect on the memory and influence of Coretta Scott King in this moving drama written by Pearl Cleage. Guest director Danielle A. Drakes takes you back in time to February 6, 2006, as people began lining up at dawn outside of Atlanta’s Ebenezer Baptist Church to pay their respects to the late Mrs. Coretta Scott King, widow of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., whose body lay in state in the small sanctuary. By mid-morning, the crowd wound down the street and around the corner of the old red brick building. People of all ages stood patiently for hours, waiting to say goodbye.
