Little Shop of Horrors is a horror comedy rock musical, by composer Alan Menken and writer Howard Ashman, about a hapless florist shop worker who raises a plant that feeds on human blood and flesh. The musical is based on the low-budget 1960 black comedy film The Little Shop of Horrors.

Produced by the Tantallon Players at Harmony Hall Regional Arts Center in Ft. Washington, this cherished classic combines poignant drama with top-notch song and dance, winning it the Pulitzer Prize and nine Tony Awards in its original run, including Best Musical and Best Score. Summer Job Opportunity: Auditions for Summer Teen Actors

Are you a teen, age 16 or older who loves to act, sing, and dance? Come out and audition for the Teen Performance Ensemble or the Prince George’s Children’s Theater.

Selected artists will be hired to perform in one-act, live musical theater productions for children enrolled in M-NCPPC Summer Playgrounds and camps during June and July 2017.

All performers must come to auditions prepared with a one-minute monologue and an up-tempo song or dance. Don’t miss out on this wonderful opportunity to showcase your talent to children audiences throughout Prince George’s County!
